343KKT_Kintaro Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 Hi Blitzen. This doesn't happen to Hurricanes only, this happens to all the aircraft in the game, it's a game physics matter. See those two examples, one is upright, the other one is upside down: CoD-not-sinking.jpg (1920×2160) (aereperennius.com) Since the original 2011 release: 1. The planes never sink. 2. The pilots and crewmen never get drowned. All of this already has been reported to the bug tracker, but I think the developers have other priorities now (TrueSky and VR).
vonGraf Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 And the yellow life raft is missing as well..

I think the Brits didn't have any raft on board their aircraft during the Battle of Britain, nor during the North African Campaign. The Grumman Martlets were a French order of purchase adressed to the Grumman company, but in the last minute the invasion of France made them go directly to the British forces. Those Martlets, the very same we have in this game, didn't have foldable wings, and I think they didn't have any raft neither.

In old IL-2 1946 everyone got a life raft popped up as soon he has reached the water by parachute. Or after a crashlanding on the sea and jumping out. 1

And even when the plane was already sinking completely beneath the waters and the pilot was not yet drowned. Really! 1
