How to setup VR in IL-2 Sturmovik?

Hi all.

I have MFS 2020 and VR goes very well there,  but when I try to set VR in IL-2 Sturmovik, it doesn't work.

 

I can enter IL-2 Sturmovik directly or by Steam. When I enter Steam and click on PLAY it appears a little windows in which is written I can play VR. I click on VR, but doesn't  happen nothing... The screen is full as well as without VR.

 

May be I have to download Steam VR? But is it not already included in Steam ?

Yes you need to install Steam VR.

If your VR gear is Windows Mixed Reality, you will also have to install Steam VR for Windows Mixed Reality and launch that before starting iL-2.  Nothing is easy, but entirely worth the trouble.  Another trick is if once you are in the cockpit, and you notice that the cockpit moves around with your head movement, instead of your head moving around inside the cockpit, you have to back out and re-centre/recalibrate your visor in the WMR Cliff House.

I have been pretty lucky with my Reverb G2 in that regard, never had it lose position it is solid every time for me.
