jollyjack Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Still 'working' on a quite complex mission. Now frustrations arise more and more all along the way: All that time wasted test-running it, going back to the ME for a small fix, then retest in the game, back to the (? this time crashing ?) ME ... grrgh.... Isn't there a way to speed this process up? Like a halfway through temporary Mission Begin point, or s skip to part B MCU setup trick with maybe some F keyboard pressing short cut?.

Not currently. ?
DN308 Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 That’s the most irrationally frustrating part of that editor. There is no way to test and to see if something don’t run properly before to run act The mission
Jaegermeister Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 You can test individual components in a simple test mission and import the logic, but to test timing and how different groups, objects and vehicles interact in the mission, no. You have to play test it at regular speed in the first person. You can use autopilot and 8x time but that only helps a little bit. Testing missions is very time consuming. I usually wind up running a mission 15 to 20 times before I can get all the bugs worked out so I can't find anything else to fix. 2 days to a week of my "spare" time on a mission is not unusual. Then there are all the things I think of to improve so it's an issue of when is enough enough? 1 1
jollyjack Posted January 22, 2021 Author Posted January 22, 2021 (edited) I remember Gambit posting something clever about a year ago (maybe to do with temporary subtitles only?). Speeding in this particular one works up to 2x, though i have maxed graphics settings LoL. Any one tried tricks with a temporary set Mission Begin? Detective writers usually start from the end of their story first creating a story board. Edited January 22, 2021 by jollyjack
