6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Let's talk Bombers, Kinks and Stories, Felixtowe, Handley Page and Gotha. I have always loved the quirky handling of the Gotha and it's the plane I look forward to the most in FC2. It's the Rally Truck of the Skies, and prefers the Skandinavian Flic over the conventional turn. One thing we did in Formation once was an accidental Loop when my Squadmate gently rested his Nose on my Tail, pushing it down until I flipped over backwards over him, ending up in perfect Formation behind him. Also had the HP fully Banana'd in three breaks along the fuselage by Flak and still made it home.

The Gotha sure is a bit of a handful when first learning to fly it. I never managed to get a handle on the recoilless rifle for the HP and Felixstowe, I think I hit a target only one time. I'd love to try a fully crewed duel between the heavies, that would be something else for sure! I'm curious how these things will handle bombing targets in live MP. Will there be a bomb sight? Right now the Bristol's sight is basically useless. Will the HP have the same thing? Or will it get a bomb sight like the Halberstadt currently has, with all the bells and whistles? Will the targets need to be changed to promote the use of high altitude bombing instead of sending the bombers down on the deck like now? Anyone got any good footage of the heavies from RoF? HP's bombsights are way better than the Bristol's in Rise of Flight. In the HP you are given a full range of airspeed and wind direction settings. I'm assuming they will be unchanged in FC as the Bristol's bombsights are the same in both FC and RoF.
