Spectre561st Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I have an X-52 For some odd reason, my throttle while flying will go to full throttle if i position the axis anywhere above 50%. The opposite for anything less than 50%. In other words, if i put my throttle at around 50% and leave it, the engine will race to full throttle and then fall to zero, over and over again. Landing is a nightmare because anytime you have to add power, the engine races to full and the torque effect drags the nose off runway lineup. nearly impossible. I have tried all different settings and have tried a lot of things I have found on this forum pertaining to throttle axis issues, all to no avail. Is anyone else having an issue like this? Thanks guys 561st_Sith
Bando Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Is your throttle set to the axis or to the virtual ends of travel. I mean this: The sim can measure the end of travel of your slider and mark this. It will also mark the other end of the slider travel as an input. If these two are recognized by the program you'd have something like you describe. To solve this: Go to the engine setup again and try to move the slider up and down without making the full movement. It will then recognize the axis in stead of the end stops. Hope this makes sense.
oneeyeddog Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 AOC, I'm probably stating the obvious but when you set up your throttle axis make sure you have the slider centered before you start. Then all the way max, then all the way back to min. Also you might want to check if your controller is calibrated correctly in Windows/devices and printers/controller settings.
Spectre561st Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Ah! I got it fixed thanks to your great advice guys. That's what it was. It was only seeing the "ends" of axis travel. Now work perfectly and I can now do what I need the plane to do in whatever configuration it needs to be in. Very thankful for the help fellas. 561st_Sith
