The Big Furball

The Sunday Furball at the Flugpark on 3 Jan 2021 resulted in a huge furball as the Entente ran Recon B through a gauntlet of Fokkers. By my count, 23 different pilots were involved in the massive dogfight. Kotori and I recorded our view of it, and I put it together for your viewing pleasure. Not my best work, but Davinci was misbehaving and didn't like any of the external footage I shot, so I had to make due with just the live recordings. This covers my whole sortie, including the big fight starting about 15 minutes in, the retreat, and a fight near the Entente balloon before landing.

 

The Big Fight included 12 Entente vs 11 Central planes. Of those, Entente had 4 safe, 1 ditch, 7 dead vs Central who had 9 safe, 1 ditch, and 1 bailed out. Recon B got 3 of 4 photographic plates due to pilot error and had to return later. Recon A completed mission despite not being on comms. Central Recon B was shot down in flames on the way home in a separate action.
