PB0_Roll Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Maybe cloud problem can be solved via some graphic settings ? Foo fighters I doubt, maybe it's just a hint of "Great Battles, Star Wars Battle of Endor" ? Ah, also, I was again attacked at Volkel by Fighters when Landing, dec 31 1944. Maybe Bodenplatte is earlier in my game ?
PB0_Roll Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 I think that's the mission in which I took these screenshots, if it helps. _gen.zip
Dutch2 Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Yep I do feel your pain about those ugly clouds and sky, but try this; at the graphic ingame settings, set preselection from Low/balance/max to Ultra and clouds quality also to the highest settings. You could also try the different mods that are made in the mods section of this forum.
PB0_Roll Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Alas I already have the highest settings (Ultra as base/extreme for clouds) but thanks for suggestion. ?
Dutch2 Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 But did you also go for the mods? Jason did mention in a post he is considering a cloud/sky update so who knows. He seems to have the FS2020 so I guess its simple on what quality we wanting to see.
PB0_Roll Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 No mods yet, I may have a look, thanks ?
IckyATLAS Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Here are two snapshots from one of my missions. And clouds are pretty well rendered. It is around 13:00 hour so the sun is quite vertical. You can see that the top cloud creates a shadow. I have gone with a camera between the clouds and looked up and the sun is well occulted when the cloud is thicker and creates the shadow. So you can fly in the shadow of a cloud between layers and have the sun come and go depending on the thickness. We can have better and if Jason would update the cloud system and give us more detailed cloud textures and less wobbling fuzziness on cloud borders, as well as more layers and vertically developing storm clouds I would applaud.
