There are a lot of posts here and around the net on this but they are dated and don’t seem to work. Does anyone have the current method to rid my vr experience of these? I am on the Quest 2. Thanks in advance for your help.

I tend to use stationary guardian and it works fine. To turn guardian off you have to enable developer mode, I believe. worth googling that.

Thanks. I use stationary and it works ok to remove the guardian grid but it doesn’t remove the annoying blue circle in the cockpit. I’ve googled this but as I said it seems the solutions are dated and don’t work. Im hoping there is another solution other than having to join as a developer.

If you use steam vr, you can find the quick space setting in the developer settings. Use the maximum space to make the pesky guardian disappear

Developer mode on the quest 2 is no big deal.

it is a toggle on the phone app and you will see no difference using your quest2 day to day.

People turn it on when they want to "sideload" games etc.

This is what works for me to get red of blue circle:

Open SteamVR, click drop-down menu, select developer, Developer Settings. In there select Large/Gigantic Space -> Quick Calibrate.
Then chaperone gone.

Good luck and hope this works for you.

Happy landings,

I am wondering what I am missing here. I follow the instructions which are not that hard to follow but the bloody thing just won't go away.

When I click on Quick Calibrate there is no feedback (no visual cues, no confirmation sound, nothing at all), so I can't tell if it worked or not. Well, it clearly didn't cause the damn thing is still there.

I have the original Quest.

Any additional clues would be appreciated.

Yep I was unable to get rid of the grid or circle using the large or gigantic space and clicking quick calibrate. My experience was the same as you described.

Easiest way is to join as a developer to unlock developer mode.
