taffy2jeffmorgan Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Hi All. Is there anyone out there who may have an idea what is causing this problem I am experiencing, I have purchased over the past 6 months, 3 of the latest first person shooters. Crysis 3, Call of Duty, black ops 2, Call of Duty Ghosts. everyone of these install and start as normal but after about 5 to 10 minutes into the game they freeze or crash. I can fly BoS on ultimate graphics with no problems? I,m not sure, but i had a computer company re-install Windows after i replaced my mother board, they used their Windows 7 disc and not mine, I may have started having this problem about then ?? So for starters should i bite the bullet and do a compete re-install using my Windows 7 ? And I am sure that my rig should be able to handle these games. Geforce GTX 570 Intel[R] Core[TM] i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30 GHz 8 GB ram Driver-335.23 Windows 7 Home Premium Cheers. JM.
Feathered_IV Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Sounds like your computer has excellent taste. 1
Cybermat47 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Sounds like your computer has excellent taste. You'd better be saying that because Halo is your favourite shooter -_-
Feathered_IV Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Ive heard of halo, that's the one with the big crash helmets. Never tried it though. Speaking of FPS games, I just read that Origin is giving battlefield 3 or something away for free at the moment until the 2nd of June.
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 The problem either responds with the message " Nvidia driver has stopped working and has successfully recovered" or nothing but a frozen screen which i have to close with my task manager ??? and try again ! It's a pain when I pay for these great looking games only to have them become unplayable. when i know that i have a system that can handle them ?
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 Thanks Ex/1. Sound advice as always. JM.
