Car door typhoon?

Can I ask which version of the tiffie we will get?

for some reason I reckon the car door version looks better.

It's a bubble canopy variant. For the Battle of Normandy (and Battle of Bodenplatte career as well) this later model is the more typical one.

We're also getting both the three and four bladed variant so that's a nice bit of variation.

The "car door" style version is definitely interesting looking and for 1942/1943 scenarios it definitely makes sense. The other issue is likely reference materials. Jason Williams traveled to the UK to get a look at the Tempest (and presumably the Typhoon and a bunch of others no doubt) and I don't think there are any restored earlier versions of the Typhoon around to even look at.

Along with the Spit IXc, Mustang Mk.I, Fw190A4... it'd be an interesting gap to fill... complete with the big air battle over the Dieppe raid (aimed partly at depleting Luftwaffe fighter units).

I'd love to see a Spitfire F.IX (Merlin 61 or Merlin 63) version and an Allison powered Mustang. The later is rare to almost unheard of in combat flight simulation.

Well the Allison powered Mustang has some limited, though exciting, options for theaters where it was operated.

Most notably North Africa, Italy, and one that really gets little traction in flight siming, China-Burma_India.  Also RAF use over France for low level nuisance and recce missions.

The early Allison powered Mustang was quite fast at low levels and actually would work really well with the kind of flying usually seen in the sim.

Plus with only a few mods we could get the A-36 too.
