Conditions For Misty / Foggy Morning for a Tank Mission?

Recommended Posts

Salute,

Has anyone created a mission that simulates (for example) a misty / foggy morning?

I am looking to build a tank mission and would like the atmosphere this would add to creeping around a village looking for targets.

I have been going through numerous cloud and haze settings on the Prokhorovka map without success.

Any advice and or guidance would be much appreciated.

Regards

Friar

Since you are looking for a specific look and feel, it's going to be hard for someone to create that for you. I would tweak the below settings and toggle camera or run the mission until it's to your liking.

Note: the setting below help too.

- Date

-Time

Good luck!

Have look at item 6, 7, and 8 in update 4.501, which discuss haze and fog.

I've never been able to create a real foggy look other than fog that's visible at a distance and only from the air.

Salute,

been playing around today and have come up with the following, looks pretty atmospheric if you ask me....sitting there, engine off...is that a T34 I hear rumbling through the mist....

The Level sittings are not as clear as I thought in the pictures. The one one the left has the level at 50 and the one on the right at 75.

Nice. I noticed (in the editor at least) that the lower the suffix is on the cloud setting, the thicker the fog. Also, it seems that the fog only works with the overcast clouds.

That is weird. The more cloud you have, the less fog you’re supposed to see.

Most of the time, fog is coming from the temperature difference induced by the sun blazing on a cold soil.

The last number determines the amount of cirrus cloud (i.e., high, whispy) present, whereas the fog is the lower-level cloud (i.e., the overcast part of the setting).

I am trying to get fog at ground level on the Rhineland map. I have tried Autumn and Winter but using the settings I produces before (although it was on the Provhorovka map) I can not seem to replicate it?

Any suggestions?
