So, three missions in a row, no enemy planes. Previously when I looked at the "Intelligence" I saw a few enemy units were in red text but they had pilots and inventory so I didn't know what the red meant. Just looked again, all enemy units were in red but all showed pilots and planes in the inventory. I hit "Emergency resupply" anyway and now all the units are in black, so I'm guessing that was the issue. But why are units with pilots and planes in their inventory showing as red and no enemy planes come up in the missions?

TIA. :)

Yes, I believe red in the intel report means that those squadrons are combat ineffective and won't fly until re-supplied (usually with pilots).  Even when you see pilots in the Intel report, they may still be wounded and unable to fly.  Also, I think there is a minimum # of unwounded pilots that are required before a squadron will fly.  So, Pat created the "emergency resupply" button for exactly the reason you used it - it is sometime boring to be winning so effectively as you were in your campaign.

This effect is one of the reasons that I like to have at least one pilot on both sides when in single player.  You can help keep a balance, at least with squadron you are actively flying.  There can also be a real challenge to fly for the outclassed and outnumbered side before a normal resupply hits.

Maybe emergency resupply and then take a few days leave to let the enemy resupply. I thought this issue was looked into a while back but if you are really good you probably swatted down all the enemy planes in the area.

Just emergency resupply.  It takes effect immediately

It did work but weird things happened. It seems game updates can alter some of the PWCG config settings. Things I'd changed had switched back to stock (none that related to zero enemies however).

Currently on med density but with two extra possible max enemy flights and it's bang on. We had one mission that was absolutely insane, the next one saw not a dicky bird (which is how it was in RL, as I reminded my impatient mate). Your app really is one of the major jewels in IL2's crown mate, thank you. :)
