Discord Microphone not working with SteamVR

I recently found that when I loaded il2 via steam VR (Reverb G2) that my microphone stopped working in discord as soon as SteamVR loaded and then worked again if steamvr was closed.

After a load of debugging I found that if you disabled OpenVR adv that it corrects the problem and your mic will work.

 

I hope this helps if anyone is stuck on this.

It may be some setting in OpenVR was causing this but I couldnt find it so disabling was the easiest for me but if anyone has found a specific openvr or steamvr setting to check then please post

Same for me when using desktop speakers via onboard Realtek. Re-selecting the same output in Discord clears it. I've subsequently found that running Discord through a set of USB headphones doesn't suffer the same issue.

Start Discord after having your audio devices finalized. It only pulls devices properly upon its launch.
