I ended up getting the same thrustmaster T16000M. Purchased on the 2nd of December, still hasn't been dispatched (out of stock), I think I recall a joystick shortage a couple of years ago when I bought this previously.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's high demand...T16000M is a great flight stick, especially for the price!

Let me guess, double the price if not more right? After MS 2020 came out flight gear went up in price.

I paid £59.99. Just checked when I first bought it, it was £49.99. So not too bad. Then again it hasn't even been dispatched yet.

I thought better buying from Amazon and waiting a bit than paying some of the silly prices on Ebay. Some of them are significantly over £100.

Unsurprisingly it looks like the supply chain couldn't cope with a sudden surge.  I wonder if in the coming months there'll be a growth in the second-hand market, leading to an over-supply.

This reminded me that about five years ago I was gifted something called 'Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X', which did not appeal and is still mint in box.

I expect this is likely to be the case for all things.

Look at video cards, All the scalpers are hording them then sell at stupid prices. Mostly because of the covid and everyone having to stay home. Guess it's happening with everything. When it first started stores were selling hand sanitizer for 20 bucks, regular retail @ 2.50. Greed, gotta love it.

I think the T16000m would be my go to stick if me old faithful MSFFB2 ever shits itself given that they're hard to find these days. Just hoping she holds out until the greed is good thing dies down? I don't suppose anyone's got a fully working MSFFB2 lying around, unloved and taking up space? :)

I got 4 MSFFB2 but 3 need a new switch for the triggers, was planning on tearing 1 apart and adding bigger motors for my cockpit I am building. Have a look in shops like those religious places that sell used stuff, I got 3 of them there and all about 10 bucks, My first came from craigslist costing 125 bucks. People buy these thing and hardly ever use them and give them to charity.

I started with a T16000 but broke it. Wish I would have at least kept the throttle body.

Solid choice. Very reliable and accurate with the  magnetic sensors, plus good value.

Lots of top pilots use it.

I heard that Von Klugermann's FFB Schtick Shop will be taking online orders in the New Year.

It is still the best stick for Flying Circus. I have a backup one. But the fire trigger isn't working reliable anymore. But I need it for the parts if something happens to my stick in use...

I have two. One is the backup for if ever my Warthog dies. The other is the backup of the backup.

They cost me about €20 each. Right now I'm seeing two selling locally (PT) for €40 and €30 respectively, the USB kind.

I use the T16000M and like it. I used a Logitech Wingman Pro for many, many years and the T16000M has become my go-to for reasonable price and good return on the money. I also like my CH Pedals. At first I thought they were kind of clunky and hard to use, but I've come to rely on them and use them every flight.

T16000M : As smooth as butter. The sensors are top-class. It will definitely improve your gunnery.

T16000M here too. Love it.

Would make sure you are not relying on the twist function for rudder however, as that is the one component that seems to become faulty on a lot of these particular sticks (though mine is fine). Recommend you get it with the HOTA's pack. The throttle is terrific and the paddle on it can easily be used for rudder if you are not using pedals.

Trigger switch is easy to replace in the MSFFB all the switches are really. I bought 10 tactile switches for 10 bucks on amazon.

They're great prices! Around 60 bucks Aussie or thereabouts. I checked on Ebay and all the ones I saw listed (in good condition) were between $250 and $300+ AUD! Scalpers!

Who's selling these? Are they the green or red version? Good condition? I guess they come with the Euro plug? But I can use my old power cord and plug.

If you're interested in cutting a deal, PM me.

I'm not selling mine because I never meant them for profit, it's just for a rainy day. Given the horrendous Warthog prices I'm thankful I have them, but I'll miss the extra buttons.

Here's a sample of a guy selling it: https://www.olx.pt/anuncio/joystick-microsoft-IDFNWNC.html#f0d074ef49

Here's another (but this one doesn't clearly show the USB terminal): https://www.olx.pt/anuncio/joystick-microsoft-sidewinder-force-feedback-2-IDG9uOP.html#7b8474e5f3

In this site people usually arrange a direct hand-to-hand delivery. That's how I got my two: one from a daughter of an older man that almost never used his, and the other a girl selling her brother's used stuff. Some are a bit unreliable. I had to arrange about four meetings to get the latter. Lots of no-shows.

By green and red, do you mean the half circle at the base? Both red, in my case.

Is that Portugal? Green and red is the colour of the power-on indicator on the base with a grey trigger on the former, red trigger on the latter. Green was the original, red was the sexed up later version but essentially the same AFAIK.

If that's got a USB connector (it is hard to tell from the pics) it looks good. I don't speak Portuguese. Can you make inquiries on my behalf? I know that's asking a lot and I don't even know if the guy ships internationally but I'm happy to pay shipping costs if it's in good working order.

If you don't want to get involved, that's cool because it is asking you to go out of your way.

No, on second thoughts, forget it. Too much trouble.

But thanks anyway man. :)

Well, in this case it's quite easy:

Não faço entregas.
Não faço trocas.

I only trade hand to hand.

I don't post.

I don't deliver.

I don't trade.

Niiranen, just in case there's a language barrier, are you saying you've got two MSFFB2 Sidewinder sticks, both with the usb connector, and you don't use them?

If that is correct, what condition are they in and are you prepared to sell one or both?

It's not MS 2020, it's the virus.  Let's face it, a lot of blokes have been in lockdown this year, which means their joysticks have probably taken a battering.

I bet the wives purchased most of the stick for them just so they got a break.

Perhaps the wife has something that could be adapted for simming use, if one's joystick is playing up and supply / cost is an issue ?

Thought I'd update you all.

The stick still hasn't arrived. (ordered in December). I haven't cancelled simply because the prices of these seem to be sky rocketing.

I'm starting to get IL2 withdrawl. I was looking at the PXN 2119 on Ebay (go for around £60) as a hottas in the meantime. They look to be thrustmaster clones in aesthetics, but it appears there are tonne of issues with setup and have decided not to bother.

Another thought I had was to just cough up for the X52 hottas, which seems to be possible to get for around £132, and then have the Thurstmaster as a backup stick.

Edit; I just ended up buying VKB Gladiator NXT from their website. Seems popular on here? Either way it looks cool

If the Thrustmaster arrives first don't open it, just take a photo of the box and put it on EBay before the prices crash.
