TFS has heard your voices and has heard people say " not buying Tobruk until VR is added". They do not have 'short-term memory loss'. They are well aware, or perhaps beyond well aware for the desire of VR. If they were able to add VR when Desert Wings-Tobruk was released, then they would have added it. Also, if they thought that adding VR before adding the new weather engine and 4K tessellation to the game was better, then they would have gone that route. How many people here put on a VR headset almost every single time that they play DCS, or IL-2 Great Battles, etc.? Cheers. Me too re: using VR EVERY SINGLE TIME. Here's the thing...I recently got back into flight sims after a long hiatus. 1946 is just too old and dated for me now. I used to love it, but it's just so dated re: graphics, fm, and dm. I really like CLoD, and Tobruk is also great. Before GB, I played 1946 and CLoD mainly offline with labels, but labels are not allowed online which makes it impossible for laptop users (no head tracking and small screen). I recently upgrade my laptop with a new Razer Blade that has 6 core/12 thread cpu, rtx 2070, but only a 15.6" screen. I am limited by space and always on the go so a laptop is what I wanted. Most PC gamers other than diehards, use laptops these days. Problem is, a 15" screen with a hat switch is a terrible set up to use online and I grew tired of being shot down because I couldn't see. Instead of purchasing three huge screens and track IR (~$500-600+$1,400 for the laptop), I decided to give VR (Reverb G1, Quest 2, and Rift S of which I chose the Rift S) a try and I am hooked. My set up now consists of my sleek laptop, joystick, and vr headset. I exclusively play GB now because of VR, even though I think a lot of things are better in CLoD (and many worse). My brother in law is in the same boat and he has been playing GB with me online on a 15.6" gaming laptop with joystick hat switch views...I have about 17 or 18 kills this week online, while he has none because he literally can't see. VR depth perception, head tracking, and the ability to see like I'm there have made me so much better. Now when I get shot down, it's my fault. I was never a fan of huge monitors and desktop pcs and VR with its precise head tracking and amazing depth of field are a literal game changer. While I still play other games with the monitor, I can't play flight sims without VR. I was never a VR fanboy until two weeks ago either LOL. Edited January 12, 2021 by Drewm3i

SIA_Target Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 Well since this is a flight sim forum and not Dr. Ruth's. 1
Dustybritches Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Me too. I don't fly outside VR these days as it just isn't at all immersive enough. Bought CloD to try and support the ongoing VR effort anyway. "If you build it they will come."
Mysticpuma Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 I would have hoped that TFS may have posted some screenshots of VR in action, especially as there are beta testers using the software. Obviously the Beta testers will be under an NDA but as the software has been available to them since Feb 25th, a few screenshots can't hurt to garner interest in a desert of tumbleweed at the moment? 1
Dagwoodyt Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 A convoy can move as fast as its' slowest ship. Maybe right now that ship is trueSKY VR. Once that hurdle is successfully crossed then there is Speedtree VR. Screenshots of VR play are unlikely to hold interest at this point in time. A public beta is what's needed. Good luck!
