Clear Selection

Bout a week ago, I wanted to take some logic (already in groups) from one mission to use in another mission, so I found the groups in the mission tree, and  one group at a time,  selected the group I wanted, and then did a right click and a "add to selection"

 

when i was finished, I just did a right click, and hit "copy", opened the new mission and hit paste. 

 

I just tried to do the same thing with another mission.  There were only 3 groups I wanted in the new mission, so one at a time I selected them, did an add to selection.

but when I went to paste the 3 groups into the new mission, I got the 12 some odd groups that I added to selection about a week ago, along with the 3 new ones.  Short of turning off the computer (which I am pretty sure I have done at least once since a week ago), how do you "clear" the selection???

 

ahhh..ok..figure it out...

 

you have to delete all the data/clipboard files..or your selection stays in there forever.

I copy / paste from mission to mission regularly, but never have to clear anything.

Maybe because I tend to select icons from the map and not groups via the 'tree' ?

I'll maybe try it out later..
