No105_Swoose Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Do you plan to expand communications and interaction with the IL-2 AI rear gunner above what was modeled in the original IL-2 series? The two-seat IL-2 was my favorite aircraft, but it was frustrating that input from the AI rear gunner was limited. There did not seem to be much more than being chastised ("What are you doing???!!!") when pulling any kind of hard maneuver or being praised if I hit a target("Haroshi rabotah!" "Good work"). This was also true to some extent with other aircraft that had a tail gunner such as the A-20 or Beaufighter. I think it would be great if you could expand interaction to model the gunner calling out warnings such as "Bandits! Six O'clock high!" to allow the player to attempt evasive action. Often in the old series the first warning I had of an enemy aircraft on my tail was tracers streaking past my canopy. I think improved interaction with the AI rear gunner would also enhance the immersion factor of the game and make it more enjoyable. Thank you for considering this and keep up the great work and progress with the development of IL-2: Battle of Stalingrad. 3
Trooper117 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I'm with you mate.. this was brought up many times on the forums in the past, but it was never really sorted.
Sven Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 COD has good communications when it comes to warnings of enemy fighters, but has no 'settings' as in ROF. So I'm hoping both can be combined to make it perfect
LuftManu Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 (edited) I just hope to say some Taks to te AI guners, like: Cease fire Fire at will Engange at 100/200/300 Meters Simple and Could be a good Start. Edited July 27, 2013 by =RDS=Manu_vc 1
AX2 Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I just hope to say some Taks to te AI guners, like: Cease fire Fire at will Engange at 100/200/300 Meters Simple and Could be a good Start. BoS will be based in RoF game Engine RoF have for AI Guners 1) Fire at will 2) Return Fire Only 3) Cease Fire 4) Cease Heavy Weapons Fire 5) Attack Baloons 6) Attack Ground Targets 7) Short Attack Distance 8) Normal Attack Distance 9) Long Attack Distance
