Irishratticus72 Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 (edited) This year has been, well, shit. Won't go into it in depth, but it's been a banner year for shittiness and basic, "right in your face" fuckery that only the universe, in its infinite capacity for capriciousness, is capable of. Two things have helped keep me afloat this year. My love of military historical literature, and my love of military flight simulation. To the former, I doff my cap to Ian Toll, James Holland, and Robert Sherrod, among others, for delivering to me scathing accounts of humanity in all its finery and faults, and to the latter, I give thanks for the existence of a simulation, that, although is still refining itself constantly, is providing me with a pure form of escapism that has let me vent my frustrations in a visceral, yet benign way, and in doing so, has helped me keep my compass true. It's not too far fetched to say that flying mission after mission, day after day, campaign after campaign, has helped my mental health greatly. For that, I thank the team, the people who've supported its development by purchasing the content, and the community, for posting about something they obviously love, even if there's been too much hate for the 109, seriously, it's a beautiful machine people! Thank you. Now please, punch that malcolm hood 51 out, and let this aging warrior die in a blaze of glory. Thank you for reading this longwinded post. Warmest regards, and I earnestly wish the best for all of you in 2021, Kind regards, Vincent. Edited December 25, 2020 by Irishratticus72 4 1 2
