TonyMM Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Can I use for example the Fw-190-A8 delivered with the "Battle of Bodenplatte" then also in the "Battle of Stalingrad" in which this plane is not included?
Field-Ops Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 (edited) In terms of Career it is generally only if it was historical and operational in the theater. Your example would require mods since it is ahistorical. This means you are more likely to find that later timeperiod theaters will include a larger overall plane list. Stalingrad will incorporate the Mig, P40, and some others simply because those planes came from the Moscow pack which is earlier in timeline and naturally might still have planes from it in service come Stalingrad. That doesnt really work going backwards in timeline. More examples would include planes from the new Normandy module will likely be incorporated into Bodenplatte, and some Stalingrad planes are included in Kuban's theater. Quick missions and the like are not affected by this where you have free reign over what you want to fly and on what map. Edited December 25, 2020 by Field-Ops

Production starts in February 1944... Stalingrad happened two years earlier... so, no... but as LukeFF said - it is possible to do that with mods at least... ...I suppose it might be possible to make all their aircraft on both sides P-38s? I'm not sure why one would want to do that... but... hmm...
TonyMM Posted December 25, 2020 Author Posted December 25, 2020 (edited) Thanks for the replies! Yes it was just an example indeed. Looking at the date fo Stalingrad I understand now! Thank! Edited December 25, 2020 by TonyMM

Looking at the date fo Stalingrad I understand now! Thank! If a plane is in a historically accurate time frame it could be the case that it is available on a map other than the one it was sold with. At other times a plane maybe available in a not 100% accurate context - FW190 A3 at Stalingrad is an example. Matchups that are outside the timeline will generally only be available in QMB.
