LA-5 is the prop pitch tied to the throttle?

In general I have one axis assigned to prop pitch and another for throttle.  Yet it seems that when looking at the animation that only the axis for throttle is affecting both pitch and throttle.  I don't think it is that way with the other planes.

 On Normal or Easy the RPM lever moves with the throttle lever. Changing to Expert or Custom (automated engine management off) will remove this feature.

In LaGG3 or La5 it is even impossible in real to move throttle and rpm lever together.I reccomend not to fly on other then expert difficulty.Any lower difficulty with engine auto management and such just confuse people and is in fact not realistic at all.

I hear you, Brano & understand the reasoning all to well however this does not take away that lots of ppl are not phased by that kind of "realistic", HOTAS etc.,  that is why the rather elegantly coined "Normal" stands for auto.

E.g. in ROF there are individual override possibilities so one can go realistic in normal server settings, while also the game icons can be toggled off to not give offence; however experience proves those possibilities are rarely used and the ones finding offence just pass on those servers.

Those extra keys would be welcome here to however developing resources seems to keep this out of the loop.

Just lets hoop this game rocks enough to appeal to lots & outscores the 200.000 copies, the devs wet dream.

Understood.My point was aiming at those people who are often confused by differences of Normal and Expert settings.I have nothing against automanagement of engine or other "easy" settings.It can attract less demanding audience,as option it is OK.But if someone wants a serious discussion abou CEM,to use expert settings is a must.

La5 with auto engine control - I doubt you can put max out of the engine with such setting.Shvecov engine requires specific setting which will never be possible with throttle and rpm lever moving simultanously.But yet I have to check it out as I never fly at Normal or Beginner.

As the Fishing gods insist that I go fishing nearly every evening it is harder to get in enough flight time in BoS.  I wonder if the realism settings get set back to a default for CUSTOM.  I did take a look and all those pilot assist with the green boxes were checked again.

I removed those checks and so things are better.
