"Früher war mehr Lametta" or As for Singleplayer Career it might be sensible to introduce the rank of Major for the Sqd. or Gruppe Kdr? Wasn´t that uncommon back then.

The thing is that career mode is simulating squadron-level operations, so in reality you're operating within a staffel of the larger Gruppe. What the Germans really need right now for ranks is the addition of Unteroffizier - add that one, and then we'd have all the most common ranks of a staffel.
