Aha! I guess that would reduce/stop the chance of the magnet chipping when the clipping is too high. I have some nice self-adhesive neoprene that'll do nicely.

I guess the one in the video is an older version. I opened mine and the piston already had soft rubber buffers on both ends of the piston.
