[80 years ago today] "• Seaplane tender USS Albemarle is commissioned. She will begin her service supporting neutrality patrol operations out of Argentia, Newfoundland in 1941. She will end her service as helicopter repair ship USNS Corpus Christi Bay in 1975 after operating helicopters off Vietnam."
