Nice addition to ME, but effect still needs to be raised in order to look right.

for industrial_cornerl_02 it's 30m above the ground level of the factory, but smoke stacks on other objects are higher/lower.

It is easy an easy process. You have to set your Factory and Industrial Chimney Altitude Table or FICAT. That will specify for each type the correct altitude above ground.

This means you have to first check the ground altitude and then add the value in FICAT.

You also have the Chimney for Houses Altitude Table or CHAT. In that one you have altitudes for house chimneys for each type of different house, and you proceed like for the FICAT cases.

Normally the smoke is generated by the condensation of particles between hot air from the chimney that encounters cold air from the environment.

This is why very often you see the smoke plume appearing a few meters or more on top of the chimney. All depend on temperature differences and the composition of the exhaust. You have cases where black smoke is coming out directly at the top of the stack. With heavy soot, bad combustion with heavy fuels you get these kind of things. Color can be white with water vapor, and various other tone.

I have given the altitudes here for three of the main factory chimneys on the Kuban map. It is the ones that matter most as they can be seen from afar.

You have many various smaller others, but there you can use  either the chimney_stalk or the house_smoke as you please or the effect you want to have.

With these three it is enough to animate the spring, summer, autumn seasons. We do not have a Kuban winter map unfortunately.  There clearly more house smoke and smoke from smaller chimney for building heating would be used.
