In the Bf 110 E2 I noticed, that reflections of the sun behind me are in a hole in the canopy instead of in the canopy itself. So the shimmering you see is not the sun, the sun is on my six.

Anyone else also having issues with airfield textures on winter Stalingrad map?

Edit: Figured out that one of the airfield textures was listed with a wrong filename in SurfaceTex.txt. It was one of the airfield_bg_0*.dds files that had "!" or "$" at the beginning.

 

No idea how that was introduced into the SurfaceTex.txt file. Nevertheless, issue resolved. And navigation again is a challenge now during winter time!

Hey 

 

I don`t know did someone saw this before but I think the Bf-109G6 prop blades have wrong shapes ? look at the screen and photos ... did someone notice this before ... ?

The Spitfire Mk IX's Mid-1944 skin has a weird reflection going on on it's RAF roundels. Looks like the alpha layer in the skin is incorrect. Hope this helps! o7

When equipping special ammo using AP rounds for La5 series and P39 there are no cannon hit marks with DVD. Looks like small caliber hits. HE shows the large hit effects, but AP a small hole or what looks like shrapnel hits on the skin.

Shouldn't it be that way, as AP was not wanted to explode on the skin, but penetrate it and go through to some armor or anything else hard enough to need AP rounds for destroying it, like engine blocks?

  On the Hanriot  template if you use other color then grey , you will see this from plane (on-board') The template need second part for that part... But is ok for me. I hate 2 parts templates. ?  From outside is looking all fine...       :salute:

20mm AP rounds shouldn't be rifle sized holes though.

OK, if they are that small, then it definitely is wrong. Aircrafts didn't shoot subcaliber AP ammunition.

Brief description: Minor Tecnochat bug on IAR-80 series 181-200
Detailed description, conditions: Technochat marks landing lights on or off although the plane doesn't have landing lights. Only occurs with series 181-200 as far as I can see.

Brief description: Albatros DVa exhaust moves

Detailed description, conditions: When viewed from external and either using F2 and moving the camera view towards/away from or when using F3 flyby view as the Albatros gets closer to the camera and then moves away from it the exhaust moves directions it emits from and maybe even places it emits from. Doesn't seem to matter map, time of day or weather settings. Screenshots below showing its different orientations.

Brief description: Problem with is invisble plane in normal fov. 

Detailed description, conditions:  Planes model disappear a front of clouds, this happens when plane is flying on cloud level and clouds are in foreground. This is on normal fov ,when you zoom in , you can see the plane. If there was not clouds planes would be visible on normal fov.

Brief description: P-39 Coolant Shutter crank should require more than 4 turns.
Detailed description, conditions: In game, it takes 4 turns of the water radiator crank to go from wide-open to fully closed. However, this document lists one run with the cooler shutter closed "9 turns from [wide open]". Admittedly this test was conducted with a P-39M, rather than L -- but based on photos of the cockpit, the control doesn't appear to change at all throughout the plane's production, and all the documents on the wwiiaircraftperformance page list "6 turns from W.O." as the position used for high speed tests, suggesting that this gearing did not change from model to model. It's not clear how many turns to go to fully closed, but it seems like it should be at least 9.

Brief description: P-40 appears brilliant glowing white at ranges beyond about 1.2km
Detailed description, conditions: The screenshots below should illustrate this well. At about 1km, the P-40s render normally. As the camera is moved away, all the P-40s abruptly change to white. From some angles, they are so bright that a halo can be seen around them (Figure 3). This appears irrespective of the skin chosen, and both with stock and community-made skins.


Figures 1-2 include a Lagg-3 and a P-51D (bare metal) for reference; note these do not undergo the same abrupt appearance change at long range.

Brief description: largecargoshiptype1: hitbox doesn't match model

Brief Description:

On the Stalingrad map vehicles can spawn in sunk into the ground.

 

Detailed Description:

in grids 1028, 1029, 1128, 1129 and probably all the swampy area north of the river human vehicles spawn sunken to the top of the track with the driver about 10m above the vehicle.  Starting the engine and moving the vehicle can sometimes get the driver back in.  Once on the road the vehicle sometime comes up to drive on the road but then sinks back in.  Occasionally the vehicle will sink on the left or right side and at other seem to hit something under the ground and flip over.  The spawn point is set at ground level.

Brief Description:

P8 Compass Spins the wrong way - Only correct when aircraft is facing due north or south.

 

Detailed Description:

im not sure if this issue has been reported or not (tried searching but nothing found) but on all of the british aircraft that uses the p8 stlye compass. beacuse the discs spins the wrong way its only correct north or south. When the aircraft points due east, the compass is reporting that your direction is due west.

The "T" on the compass needle points to North. When the aircraft points East, the "T" is in the East Position, please see photos which is WRONG.
What it should be is that the "T" (north pointer) needs to point to the West position.

Another way of putting it, both examples the aircraft is flying east. According to the compass, the North "T" pointer suggests North is on my 3 o'clock, this is wrong because south is at my 3 O’clock, North on my 9 o'clock

I would think more than 14 months should be enough to fix this little thing.

Wings and part of contour of FC planes are not visible against the clouds. Preset ultra, AAx4, clouds extreme

Spitfire MkIXc is invisible beyond ~9.5km.

Detailed description, conditions:
The Spitfire MkIXc is invisible beyond ~9.5km. I tested this by going into mission and spawning into a Spitfire MkIXc and using the F11 command for free camera. When the game is paused, the aircraft can be seen beyond 9.5km. However, when I play the game again, the plane is invisible. I did the same test with the Spit IXe and this is not an issue.

Thank you I just got the same bug on Halberstad II as well since last update removed the anemometer and it is gone.

No, it isnt a fix. The problem is present still, less visible but it exists.

Brief description: Both the DH2 and Alb DIII have their cockpit photos missing. 

 

Detailed description, conditions: Selecting the cockpit photo option for both the DH2 and the Albatross DIII has no effect in game and no cockpit photo appears in game once spawned in.

Hi 

 

If You guys do corrections in FM of Tempest it`ll be nice to do little corrections in animation because landing gear shocks not work ... they are stiff as hell even if You land in grass airfield or taxiing :) and maybe its only my strange observation but now the engine stop little strange and not smoothly like before .... tracks below :) Cheers 😄

I dont know did this was report already but many planes have huge problem with some strange ,,see-through,, holes especially near the engine exhaust or radiator i think british planes like tempest typhoon or spit was in the mainstream of the problem BUT mosquito break the bank look at the screenshots :) and I think its serious problem

Bf109G2 right wing - and I think left wing as well - landing lights model disappears when formation lights turned on if wingtip is damaged

P40E - something that has always bothered me - sits too high. In game you can see the landing gear strut hinges from behind the wheel. That should not be the case. Thinking about this a bit more, this may actually be a simulation problem. Suspension should sit sagged when weighted. 30% or so,  and only go full extension when fully unweighted.
