Spit40 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Some new hardware for fans of the IX. It's a bit different to the usual thing though as you have to build it yourself from a kit. I've been working on it for almost 2 years and just released all the designs, parts list, assembly guides and everything you need to source the components and make it. Everything is downloadable for free. Your biggest obstacle is likely to be that its 3D printed but I have options for you there too as there's a Discord server now up and running with a bunch of guys offering to 3d print for you - ballpark $150. Which does of course mean you could buy a printer of your own for like $25 more, which you may prefer to do so you can print my throttle quadrant and trim wheel coming out in the next couple of months. Find out more at AuthentiKit.Org Here's a review just released by VR Flight Sim Guy followed by a video he then made flying it in IL-2 using the Reverb G2. Of course it doesn't have to be VR but it's extra nice in VR :-) 4
41Sqn_Skipper Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 Looks really good and whole concept if just great! I don't have access to a 3d printer, so I'll have to compare the options I have. I'm mostly interested in the upcoming devices (throttle, trim, gear, flaps), so still some time to find a solution.
Spit40 Posted December 24, 2020 Author Posted December 24, 2020 Thanks. Here's the latest video, which concludes the series. Next up will be the quadrant and elevator trim.
Volans Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 (edited) Your kit is an amazing piece of engeneering. A project so polished that start to resemble a comercial kit! Looking forward to build it. I was eager to have a spade grip stick, but commercial ones were out of my reach, and I love to diy. I think it will make a good pair with my diy kg13 (resin) First steps: Edited December 25, 2020 by Volans added photos 2
