And, I don't want to lose my joystick settings in IL2 and Cliffs.  I believe the joystick commands live in Input in IL2.  Can someone confirm and also share where input settings are in Cliffs.  I have already saved all my skins.  Anything else I should copy to a file?

Thanks!!!

For Cliffs: they seem to be in your User folder on the windows boot drive. ( --- C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 surmovik cliffs of dover)

For BoX just copy the input folder from .../data (and your missions, templates, startup.cfg;  OR BACKUP THE WHOLE GAME folder if you have modded other stuff)

As Jollyjack says find the 1c sofclub folder in "My Docs".

Cant be sure but I think Cliffs uses a naming convention drawn from the controllers own ID  that prevents them from being reassigned if other things in the windows world change. Im not sure BoS does that but I could be wrong. Having recently re-installed windows I had to reassign a lot of my bindings in BoS but that could just be me and my brain fuddlement.  Perhaps work out what your current windows controller order is and replicate it in the nu puter.

It depends on what you fiddle with in cliffs but in the My Docs/1c Softclub folder the following files preserve the following general settings:

Conf.ini Mainly the in game settings plus mouse movement speed (if you've upped it for a faster defensive gun operation)

Confuser.ini - the last profile you used BUT ALSO including any info windows you have created (controls, chat, server etc) - these windows settings may also be elsewhere but i cant be certain as cliffs is not longer installed on my system - i only have the files listed saved.

User.ini- any custom loadouts will be in there - it will save you many hours of inputting if you mess with convergences and belts but sometimes a fresh look isnt a bad thing to do especially if TFS make changes to the ballistics.

In addition to those - any custom input profiles you have for specific aircraft or types will be saved in the ICSoftclub folder as well.

Hope this helps
