Dirtbag_Jim Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Was wondering what everyone's preferred ammo loadout (and possibly convergence settings) for the American 50 cals were. Alternatively if anyone knows what the historical belting was, and possibly convergence, that was actually used during the North Africa campaign, I'd love to use it in-game. Cheers!
jollyjack Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 I have mixed feelings with .50 and a P51D i have been messing with lately. Even with added guns. Chased a FW190 for about 5 minutes, hit it apparently, but it kept flying. Looking at it with Cntrl F2 it was full of holes however ... With a Spit and 303 it's far easier.

Pretty sure cliffs doesn't have p51s or 190s 1 hour ago, Dirtbag_Jim said: Was wondering what everyone's preferred ammo loadout (and possibly convergence settings) for the American 50 cals were. Historically, I know that the API and API-T haven't been introduced in the Tobruk timeframe. And that's all I know, sorry :D.

Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted December 17, 2020 Team Fusion Posted December 17, 2020 Hello Guys There is no API or API-T in TOBRUK. These forms of ammunition were not available at this time. You have a choice of AP, Ball, Incendiary, or Tracer Ball. All of them have unique capabilities. Personally I would use some of all. If you want to kill a pilot, then AP is the best choice. If you want to set fuel tanks on fire, then Incendiary with Ball or AP. If you want to do structural damage, then Ball or AP. Tracer gives you the opportunity to see where you are shooting, although Incendiary will flash on hitting.
