Gudday guys and gals,

I had a go with a VR set up for DCS, and I was very impressed. I was wondering if my PC will be able to handle VR play and what it would look like. I am not PC savvy at all, and don't know what I am really looking for when it comes to good quality gaming things.

I was either going to upgrade to a 1440p monitor or get VR. What do you guys think is best for price and my PC?

Cheers.

I think you could rock VR pretty good with that PC. Looks better than mine and mine runs VR pretty good with Low-Med settings.

I think you can play VR if you don't have everything maxed out (which is typically a waste in VR anyways)

Even though it's relatively new, you're buying an old generation (by two, now) of Ryzen there (Zen+).

I have a 2600 myself, and whilst it's an admirable performer, the 3600 (Zen2) is superior in every way and not much more expensive. If you really want to go for longevity, then the new Zen3 5600X is a sure winner - impossible to find right now though.

Your bottleneck will be CPU.  The closer you can get to 5.0Ghz the better.  However, It should work just fine on medium settings depending on your unit and framerate selected.
