Is there a way to increase or maximize the default cockpit view size (without TrackIR or VR).

If i test drive a mission f.i. with a Hurricane the cockpit's front window frame is always filling my whole 4k screen, but by using TrackIR you can zoom out a little more;

it's a bit annoying that you always have to wear that contraption just for some test.

u can zoom back to have 105 degrees field of view. default is 90 degrees, so yes u can zoom out.

Also if u find it useful, u can move pilot head backwards, that will let u see even more something else than just front window.

i dont know about that. but i have saved 105 degree view and pilots head slightly further back than default, with f10 key. so my view is like that every time i start any mission.

Same here. That is my default view and I never zoom in closer.

Just found it in keymappings, and set F10 for maxing.

Alas this is still my max view with a Hurricane:

and the second using my track hat system:

In the second one, the pilot head positions seems to be set a little farther back. Did you try the head movement keys?

HI!

you can change / mod (with some warning) if you want ,the values on the first line,  in the snapviews folder ( IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\LuaScripts\snapviews ) plane by plane

and than give a try to the others parameters.

to get every mod effective,you have to stop and restart the game, of course .
