1. What was the worst/lowest rated year(s) for you in the 2010s decade (2010-2019)?

 

2. What was the best year(s) for you in the 2010s decade?

 

3. What was the best year for combat flight sims/flight sims in the 2010s decade?

 

 

My answers:

1. For me, the latter half of 2013 started is when things started going downhill for me, and continued into 2014 -- it reached a point where I felt that 2013 was better than 2014. I am just glad I wasn't graduating high school that year. Things got a lot better in late 2014-early 2015. The latter half of 2015, everything just crashed for me like the crash of 1929, and continued into 2016. The spring of 2016 is when things started getting better, and eventually became great, lasting into 2017 and 2018. 2019 for me was the worst year in that decade.

 

2. 2012 has to be the best: music, movies, television programs that came out that year were great. 2017 and 2018 were also the best, had no considerable issues with things that happened in those years.

 

3. 2017 I think was the best year for CFS': that year we got VR for IL-2 GBs, several BoK aircraft and map, the U-2VS and several Bf-110 models were added/made flyable in IL-2 1946, and that year the Cliffs of Dover Blitz Edition was released.

2010 got divorced on whim, when into the private sector on a whim, lost my job on the whim of my boss, lost my house (more a concerted effort from ex wife than a whim) , lost my savings (several whims on my part) and lost my focus

 

2. What was the best year(s) for you in the 2010s decade?

 

2012 (onwards) met my current partner, gained a fantastic little boy as result, moved location, grew a beard, stopped being so whimsical 

 

3. What was the best year for combat flight sims/flight sims in the 2010s decade

 

Its relative - I dont think there has been one true "classic" really. 2016/2017 was decent - BoX progressed significantly, Clod was ticking along well on TF4.312,  DCS added stuff (most of which is still EA), mining hadn't yet fully taken hold of GPU prices, Nvidia hadn't quite reached to point where the likely real world MSP of the card was reflected in its naming and.......oh yeah - you could actually get hold of stuff.
