Assign Skins in Career

I feel that we should have the ability to add skins to our sauadmates from within the career no matter what our rank is. I understand that you can start as the commanding officer and assign them at that point, but personally I never start as an officer. Would it be possible to allow us to have the ability to add skins for flights regardless of being the commanding officer?

 

 

Edit: I do know that I can do so in PWCG, but I am suggesting it for the ingame Career mode.

I wish we could choose our own plane. I chose a unit with the newly released G-6 Late and the very first mission, I was assigned a G-14 while the flight leader had the G-6 Late. I would say not having the skins for the units you can join in game is a bigger problem though. 

 

I am curious of the procedure aspects of the pilot personalizing (skins) his plane and how much oversight govern what could and could not be done.
