Gungriffen Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 (edited) I've tried a few things and nothing seems to work. I noticed in the IL2/data/input that, In Current.Map it's listed as Joy20 In Current.Actions It's listed as Joy10 In game Menu calls it Joy10 I tried changing the Map to Joy10 and setting it to Read-Only but the still didn't let me use it in flight. I tried changing the yoke in the devices file to joy20 and setting Action file to joy20 but still showed up in key binding, could still bind it, still got zero input in flight. There seems to be an issue with half the files seeing it as Joy10 and the other half as Joy20 but setting them all to the same regardless of which one shows up in key bindings and becomes a dead stick in flight. I have a X-55 Saitek joystick (Joy0) that works fine for fighters but also trying to have my Saitek Yoke as a secondary for flying bombers. I have tried unplugging and unbinding the X-55 flight stick as well with the same outcome. Edited December 8, 2020 by Gungriffen
NiiranenVR Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 I have had this x55 also and the same problem too I can not tell you what to do, it worked fine for a while but then suddenly no control and for make it work again I have to reinstall win 10 again ! ? I have done that 3-4 times then I bought a virpil and now no problem Maybe if you delete the map of the joystick it can start up as a new - I don't remember whether I tried or not .... But you're not alone
Sokol1 Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 (edited) Rename the file Devices.txt (Input folder) and try assign controls again. Edited December 10, 2020 by Sokol1
Voyager Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 I had a similar problem with a new set of pedals. What I'd run into is the device ID in Il-2 had gone past, I believe 12, and it started ignoring them, so clearing your Devices.txt and rebinding everything should work: MFG Crosswinds not being used correctly? - Hardware, Software and Controllers - IL-2 Sturmovik Forumhttps://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/59618-mfg-crosswinds-not-being-used-correctly/
horseback Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 I'm running into a similar issue with my controllers; my new Thrustmaster setup has replaced my old CH Products stuff, and I cannot get the game to recognize my TPR pedals. How do I (safely) clear my Devices.txt as mentioned above?
Voyager Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 @horsebackI believe you can simply rename or delete the file and Il-2 will construct a me wine next time you launch it.
horseback Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Thanks Voyager, that worked a charm. Now I just have to learn to fly and shoot all over again. cheers horseback

I do have another problem that probably can't be fixed. When I start the game I can use only a flight stick or yoke. This sucks because when I want to fly fighters I use my stick and my yoke for Bombers. As of right now the only way I know of to switch back and forth is to unplug one and restart the entire game!
C6_lefuneste Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 If I understand well, your problem is to assign pitch and roll axis to different controllers, regarding the plane you fly. I think the best way should be to use something like joystick gremlin. It will create a virtual joystick which can use axis of other devices. You may create 2 profiles with different mappings and use virtual joystick axis in Il2 instead of real ones (at least for pitch and roll)
