Hi guys,

Somehow I lost the illuminated reticle in the gunsight of the Spitfire IX. I still have one in the Tempest and other planes in BOB.

How the heck do I turn the gunsight 'on'?

THanks

The gunsight comes "on" during the automatic start up procedure, as far as I'm aware the manual gunsight on/off switch isn't implemented, although I think it would be a nice to have.

cheers

If the engine is running it's already on.  You may have to reposition your head so that you can see it.

These are the keys combos that have to do with non-tank related gunsights in IL-2

Gunsight position toggle key RAlt+key f
Gunsight mode toggle key LAlt+key m
Gunsight range adjustment key RAlt+key period/key RAlt
  +key semicolon

Gunsight reset key RAlt+key apostrophe

I know in some planes like the later 109s you can stow the gunsight which is kind of cool, makes landing easier. Maybe you hit that key by accident? I can't remember if the later spit has this feature or not. I believe it would be Gunsight Position Toggle key binding.

Only the later 109s and the Me 262 can stow their gunsight.
