Hello, just have to make some decisions and would like to read your opinion. Actual i am using an intel system, asus rog crossfire hero VII with I7 6700 32 gb ram 2400 and pallit gtx 1080... imo the CPU is a bit outdated, but i also need new hardware like stick... ( the t16000m broken..

so, what would u think? i was planning a vkb gladiator and a throttle, eye tracking seems to be in need also, but i cant spend at the moment motherboard plus cpuplus new ram in addition stick aso.. u think, comp hardware would do the job some more time, to get first stick aso ? thanks for your opinion

What size monitor are you using, or are you doing VR?

If you're under 4k, you should be fine. Check the Hardware forum for the SYN_Vander Benchmark v6 thread for benchmarks.

For head tracking, if you have a web cam, or even a smart phone, there is cheap face tracking software you could use.

Stick depends on your budget, and what is actually available. What budget range are you actually looking at?

I am using  a asus pg287QR  2560x1440 165hz.. no VR...  i thought About the vkb Gladiator stick and if available not too late their throttle… as i understand they will have a complete System... some 700€... checked Prices, with asus cashback i could get a amd ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard System... but then i have to look for a cheaper stick ?

Ryzen 5 6500x be best and would outperform significantly i7 6700k.

i guess i will first upgrade my System and Looking for a replacement for my t16000m ( this stupid Potentiometer not working, Twist axis )…  so my choice for harware upgrade is : asus rog crossfire VIII Hero plus ryzen 5 ( Maybe the 5600 ) and a better ram ( using atm a Ballistix 2800, or would it be usable, cause if so, i could use a new VKB stick instead upgrading RAM to not less than 3600

5600x or any Gen3 AMD CPU's are all sold out, so you'll either need to get it from ebay with a mark-up (+$200-$300 more), hunt for it using stock trackers, or wait till Spring time for a normal stock.

what's your current mobo?

also a asus hero VIII but maximus  for Intel socket 1151... and i can wait till spring, just buying the MOBO with asus cash back NOW... and of Course not paying the overprized stuff atm, Maybe even better to wait for the 5600 without x ?

pity, it's a Z170 chipset, otherwise you could've upgraded to 8700k cpu for cheap and get 20-30% bump in performance just from that. You could still go to 7700k with your mobo but dropping $400 for 15% bump is questionable..

Exactly… i guess i will go for the x570 hero VIII crossfire NOW.. with asus cashback it.s ok.. do u think i could use my old ram Ballistix Sport 2400 ( i guess ) ? so i could plan : new stick new mobo and ryzen 5 5600 in spring

you'll need to check the motherboard specs for this specific RAM.

But overall I wouldn't recommend re-using it. It's old, but most importantly it's slow. It'll create all sorts of bottlenecks with gen3 AMD cpu's. All the gains you get with new 5600(x) cpu will be negated by this very old and slow ram.

yeah, that was my fear also... but Maybe i will do like that.. MOBO now..stick..now ( if availabel)  then next  ryzen 5 and new ram in spring rebuilding the system… by the way : thanks for your kind recommendations
