-332FG-Stravinsky Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 So here is a screen shot of the actual emplacement in game where it doesn't refresh. I updated my training server to V1.7 and it doesn't show up. I looked over the forums and I saw a couple topics with advices such as clean cache with mtree and ctree cache files. I've done the "Reset user interface". I tried renaming the file, renaming the mission name, that didn't fix it. I've tried Jim's advice and it didn't do either. I also made sure the season was set correctly. It just looks like it's not refreshing, cuz when I tried to just create a folder, that didn't show up either. Also, in game there is a "tankcrew" folder that once was in my directory, and now that I deleted it, still shows in game... What could be the problem at this point? 1
JimTM Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Do you have a plane in one of the spawn points that you do not own? Can you zip and post the mission here please.
-332FG-Stravinsky Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 No, I got all the modules... Here it is strav_training_server_dogfight_areas_V1.7.zip
JimTM Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) No luck so far. I tried: Replacing "/" with "-" in group name "Arf_obj_59-Frankfurt/Rhein-Main" and "Arf_obj_57-Eudenbach/Asbach" Some special characters cause problems. Assigning a name in the mission properties Name box Saving the file as strav_training_server_dogfight_areas_V1_7 rather than strav_training_server_dogfight_areas_V1.7 Changing the mission atmosphere Height parameter from 200 to 800 to put it within the allowed range for 02_Medium_02 documented on pg,. 206 of the manual I'm not sure if the limits still apply. Replacing all spawn point aircraft with FW190 A3 because I do not own the Hurricane and Yak-9 Call me stumped. Edited December 6, 2020 by JimTM
-332FG-Stravinsky Posted December 6, 2020 Author Posted December 6, 2020 Really I don't think it's the file in itself causing that issue... Like I said, even if I create a default mission with nothing but the name, it just doesn't show in game when I'm on the "Create a Server" screen. I'm gonna try and run it with the DServer instead, since I can simply choose the file from the directory, and I'll come back here for update. Thanks for trying Jim.
JimTM Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) FYI, I just tried creating a simple mission and it showed up in the mission selection box for the in-game server and for DServer. Is it possible that you somehow have multiple installs of BoX. Gambit21 had an issue once where he realized that he was running multiple installations. I notice that you are on Steam, so I don't know if this even applies. Edited December 6, 2020 by JimTM
-332FG-Stravinsky Posted December 6, 2020 Author Posted December 6, 2020 Well I've got a Steam install and another directory on a seperate drive for my Dserver, but I never ran the game from elsewhere than Steam...
-332FG-Stravinsky Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 Well, I'm just confirming the file is the issue. I saved all my assets as templates and imported them in a brand new mission and it did the trick. No idea what went wrong... 1
