Inability of BF109 E7 to taxi to the right from a standstill?

Usually I find the 109 easy enough to taxi but I am having a bit of trouble to taxi the E7 to the right from a standstill under the following conditions:

- Tailwheel unlocked

- Rudder full right

- Right Brake held 95%-100%

- Prop Pitch 12:00 - 12:30 and Engine RPM 1500-2000.

The damn thing just won't start moving! Am I doing anything wrong? I don't think the other 109s are this tricky to taxi.

Yeah, you're not in a Hurricane IIc! ;)

Sometimes aircraft just don't want to turn right.  It's weird and unexplainable but sometimes it just happens.  It could be some weird controls glitch.

Just go tailwheel unlocked, auto engine settings, and bring the throttle up until it moves.  Then hit right brake/rudder.

You're not alone. I have more trouble taxi-turning the Emil to the right than in any other plane.

I will try again later but in the last session the plane eventually not only didn’t turn to the right, it actually started turning left while on full rudder and toe brake. I felt like someone was playing a practical joke on me!

I rechecked and I definitely cannot tame the E7. The F4 is docile in comparison. It's almost as if the left brake was stuck but the controls don't seem indicate this. I want to say this is bugged somehow.

On the rare occasion I actually get the E7 to turn right as soon as I let go of the brakes and rudder to neutral I can actually see the tailwheel slide back right to the other side. This doesn't seem right to me.

I had the same problem in one mission with K4. It just wouldn't go right so i couldn't taxi to the runway no matter how hard i tried and i've played a lot with 109's including K4. Even with autopilot on the AI had a lot of difficulties to turn and taxi. Mission related bug?

Just go left 3/4 of a turn...

Some of the taxi code originated with Dominion systems.

I've seen this with both 109 and 190, and always thought it had to do with wind since it only happens occasionally.

Oh this is good

OK, did some testing this morning, with no wind/turbulence all my Bf109 suffers from this, as well as the Dora and the Ju-87 (all with no manual prop pitch). The worst seems to actually be the Dora.

A burst of throttle helps. Also push the stick forward to make the tail "lighter". (get some airflow under the tail.)

That should help.

The E7 has quite a coarse propeller setup. Not a whole lot of low speed thrust. So you don't get much prop wash but all the torque.

have you tried getting some speed before using toe brakes? always got yelled at in 172's for the bad habit of trying to turn from a standstill
