I hope that this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTtHTMTwEwo video about the 2080Ti and 3090 comparison will be done in English. Or, at least we'll get some data about performance.

Opera resume:

 

Core i7 9700k @ 4.9 GHZ

2080Ti  - IL-2:GB in HIGH - 1 plane in low flight  ~44 FPS on average in VR*.

3090 - IL-2:GB in ULTRA - 1 plane in low flight ~45 FPS on average in VR. 

 

GPU load around 70-80% GPU memory used ~8Gb

 

Theoretically an 3090 with Core i9 10900k or Ryzen Rx 9 5950 may give ~10-15% or ~ hit 50-55 FPS (VR), but notice i7 9700k@ 4.9GHZ is used less than 50%, so VGA still the bottleneck.

 

 

* Seems a HP Reverb1.

Thanks Sokol1, I found this interesting as it was the first test I saw that uses flightsims. Rare to find on youtube... ?

Actually, FS2020 hype lead various YouTube "reviewer's" to include this game in their benchmarks, a good reference for other flight sim.

 

E.g. this GPU comparative include FS2020, show less than 10% of gain with the new GPU generation in FS2020.
