Keybinding issue

Hey there, 

I'm hopping someone knows the solution to this. I've tried searching the forum here and the googles but have had no luck yet.

Having issues with setting up keybinds. I can set them in the menu just fine but when I try in game with my hotas they do not operate at all, the default keyboard bind works just fine however. I've noticed this when trying to set up my trim bind (see image below) for the spitfire, as well as setting a camera zoom axis on my throttle. 

I have an x-55 so perhaps can set up the binds through the saitek software instead but rather not as it's caused me issues in the past. 

I have also confirmed that those buttons have not been set to any other binds in game or in the saitek software.

Planes that uses trim wheels are controlled by "Elevator trim axis" and planes that uses buttons or switches are controlled with "Elevator trim switch: up/down" The Spitfire uses trim wheels, so the keys to control trim must be assigned to the "Elevator trim axis control".

 

I bind all 3 controls that way it dose not matter what plane I'm flying.

 

As for the camera axis, I may be wrong (happens once every year or so)but I don't think you can use an axis to control trim.

Thanks for the reply Ghostt666. Turns out I am just an idiot haha?‍♂️ When it was labeled as axis I assumed it was meaning if I had a literal axis or something on my throttle like a rotary dial I would want to bind it to. Somehow did not see the matching keyboard binds above.
