Tank going in reverse?

I have i problem with my tank starts going in reverse automaticly, and i cant stop it, it happens all the time and it makes the game unplayable i have tryed to change the controls but nothing helps, anyone have a clue what is going on?

In your keys, see if the acceleration of your tank is not linked to your throttle.

In my opinion you have a duplicate function somewhere.

If you are using a throttle stick if it is at zero that will be reverse. For neutral power it will need to be at 50%, could that be it?

Yeah it sounds like you have your forward/backward keybinding inverted. If you try to go in reverse, does your tank go forward?

It is not a controller issue, i have checked my key mapping and it looks fine.

 

I think it have to do with the auto drive function that you activate in the map screen, becouse it always happens when i check the map,

 

I have tried to doubble tap on the gas/brake on the map screen to cancel it but it dont work, how do i stop the autodrive?

 

Is it just me or is the autodrive function badly implemented, could it not just have been on a button?

Yep it's a badly implemented cruise control basically. See - if this game would be ACTUALLY finished and not in alpha state, that would be either "fixed" or there would be tutorial. Have fun

In a few occasions when my tank was hit badly and  I frantically tried to reverse, the tank was somewhat stuck in reverse and it was impossible to stop the tank or to drive forward.

I had to change gear(limit gear for someone?
) up and down and finally i was able to control my tank.

I am often stuck in a forward, reverse or left/rigth movement. It happens for instancece when I press the forward key, open the map, release the key and go out of the map. A way to get out of this is to double press the corresponding key. Sometimes my tank is turning without stoping. Same solution just double press the left/right keys  assigned   to those movements .

 I had this problem too quite a few times, being stuck in reverse or turning, when using keys to move. This hasn't happened anymore since setting up throttle on my joystick and steering on my rudder pedals.
