Mm1ut1 Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Looking for reccomend wireless headset for under $200.00. Also would like to know if headset could be used to hook up to phone to answer calls while playing. I’m retired but wife works and she gets upset when she calls and I don’t answer. Thanks!
jollyjack Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 (edited) I have tested quite a few higher class models. Bluetooth problems with Bose Connect. Best sounding, but just not working with an added MEE connect transmitter unit. A Sony WH-1000XM3 worked best for TV. And if the wife needs to be ignored: get any noise cancelling model. Basic question is if your MB has Bluetooth audio on board, then you'll have more options, and ask around on some gaming site's forum? Edited December 13, 2020 by jollyjack
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Sennheiser PXC-550 II + Sennheiser BT Dongle, connected via TOSLink. Connect PXC via Bluetooth to mobile phone and dongle. It stays connected to both at the same time. It is a headset that can do active noise cancellation. It will stream your game sounds and everything from the Computer. But if there is a phone call, that will take over on-the-fly and ring. You can take the call, then the headset's inbuilt microphone (pretty good) is activated and transmits your voice to the phonecall. It will also automatically passthrough your voice into your own speakers, as if you have opened your earcups, so you can hear much better how loud you yourself are speaking. The headset has different equalizer profiles you can use too, you control them via an App on the mobile. The settings are valid for any source (work for the PC too), and are remembered by the headset itself. It works for 20 hours if you have constant sound. If you don't have constant sound, it uses almost no power, even if connected via bluetooth. You activate it by turning its cups, and it will connect automatically to the two paired devices. Very comfortable.
