Why do we have to start every mission already inside the aircraft?

Let's make this sim stand out and up the ante by having us start at a briefing room with the other pilots.  Then after the briefing we walk out the room and climb into our aircraft.  Just the joy of doing that for each mission is epic/surreal !  So much time is spent on all these aircraft/missions and no time to be innovative in such an engaging way to start each mission.  Is this really too much to ask?

I'm still happy though but I would easily sacrifice graphics and all those flyable planes just to get the whole experience from start to finish for a mission sortie/online game combat if that is what it took to devote resources/time to such a task.

At the end of the day, graphics is the least important element of a game.  Who lets go of a fantastic game if graphics are not great?  I sure never met anyone such.

Pay to play or community creations?

You are onto something for later development perhaps but you are onto something even if the animations/ interactions/environments are only hosted on the client machine and "updated" eyecandy. People become very attached to these features in other than flight sim genres.

However personalization seems always the key combined with "unlocked/ achieved" content with choice/ selection/ options.

Creates the open world illusion.

Surprisingly people were of two minds about the

flash of welder activity in the hanger

which I LoVED!!!  How about ammo stores and parts racks and wall mounted maps and . . . something purchasable, has to be a two way street if only to hire a modeller, background artist etc.

so perhaps the ALpha audience is not really representative of the median casual simmer/ gamer.

Certainly immersive environments are the accepted flavour of the day even when they are slight of hand efforts with little real interaction with the environments objects.

just meanderings, no coherent plan but there is something to come with the next gen of graphics and computational speeds.
