82 mm rockets vs Bf-109

You would think they'd do more damage than that. Although, you also need to be taking a few other things into account too;

 

You're hitting these Bf-190s pretty much straight on the tail. For some it knocked controls off, for others it didn't. I'd suspect that even for those that didn't get their controls damaged, there's still something there. Linkage damage or something like that, but you couldn't tell because they're all flying straight and level. Then later you attempted hitting the planes with multiple, which of course had better results than one. But still, they're just flying straight and level.

 

My only experience with ROS-82s against aircraft was one time in the I-16 when I caught a Bf-109 in a stall. Put one or two into him, and he was missing a wing and was on fire. The guy asked "did someone ram me?" in chat.

 

Yesterday, I took some Panzerblitz rockets to hunt some tanks, but ended up using them against a P-38 instead. Even though they're only AP, I still damaged something in his tail enough to make him spin.

 

So don't give up! Try dogfighting with them for your next test.
