Bomb detonation

I was thinking about the representation of bomb explosions as modelled in BoS. This clip shows the planified detonation of a ww2 bomb in Munich. Of course the hay stacks that were placed around the bomb caught fire and increased the fire. However the pure dust cloud created by bombs in BoS seems a bit off. I am definitely missing the flash.

 

 

AFAIK it had been a 500 kg bomb.

 

PS: Stupid people who applaud in the clip...

I watched the detonation live in Schwabing/Munich and it was quiet impressing.

Although most of the blast was dumped by the hight house lines we noticed it.

The flash itself was live more impressive as shown on the video.

However I think ingame it is the far realistic model compared to other known sims, speaking of older and more modern ones.

Yes Schwabing 1944. This blast even hit me. The great attack on Munich was narrated to me by my mother and grandmother again and again. The bomb went into the lawn next to the cellar they where hiding in. Thank god all of the family survived. Grandma told my aunty to get the youngest one back home from kindergarten when the warning was up. Kindergarden got a direct hit.

and beside that, I dont think it is a topic to make sacasm or fun about, as 5500 citizens died in that specific night in april 1944 by the allied bomber raid on munich living center.
