New Capability For Mission Builders

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Dear IL2 development team,

As a mission builder, I want to request for myself and fellow mission builders the capability  to modify map terrain.

We desire to add roads, buildings etc. to create villages and towns to fill out maps that do not include missing historically extant villages and towns.

I specifically refer to the current Rheinland map and the desire to create  historically based armored battles that took place with Patton's 3rd Army during the Battle Of The Bulge.

I have purchased reference material for just that cause. But, unfortunately there are NONE of the required towns and villages where the battles took place on the map. This of course completely prohibits me and others from creating such historically based missions in the required places.

Thank you for considering my request/proposal.

P.S. I am sure adding or providing such capabilities for us would be a major advancement in our mission building efforts and a great addition to the Great Battles series overall.

Second that !! : I also would like to be able to change heights and SAVE the edits ... and Remove wrongly placed trees and SAVE that too!!

Example the missing dunes along the Dutch coastline with no Atlantic wall bunkers, and trees on the shoreline were there never were any,

or a solidly programmed forest were an important WW2 action city was ...
