Game won't proceed past opening scene

Searched for "game won't start" none of the hits addressed this.

I just re-installed the game.   And have restarted it twice already.   Results are the same.

Game starts with opening pic of an airplane, music plays, graphic 360 of the airplane is fine.

I have a cursor but nothing else happens.    Let it sit for 10 mins.... nothing

Sounds like the menu is positioned off-screen, which can happen if Il-2 is running in windowed mode with a larger resolution than your monitor's native resolution, I think. What is your monitor resolution? And in the launcher, what is the resolution set to?
