Hi. There's one serious problem with the ground staff who is hanging around on the airfields... Please have a look at this glowing ghost German officer:

 

 

Please... would this be possible to fix the problem?

I sort of like them and their Soviet counterparts pointlessly rambling around airfields, gives a certain melancholy theme to it all.

It's not a bug. It's part of a secret Vergeltungswaffen program to send heavily irradiated pilots into the midst of Allied bomber formations in the hopes of very, very slowly killing the bomber crews with cumulative radiation poisoning. Much like all the other V-weapons, it was projected to turn the tide of the war in Germany's favor no later than the spring of 1949. Around the same time the German flying saucers would be ready to swarm from their secret production facilities in the North and/or South poles. This is not to be confused with the moon base initiative. Nor the time travel one.

They aren’t dressed as ground crew so they must be deserters.  Notice how they’ve thrown their weapons away?

They also wander into your propeller just as you are parking in the revetments after a successful sortie, earning you a court martial instead of your well deserved medal.

 

I suppose it is a byproduct of the NuVisibility fix. At least you can see them from miles away as a guide for your heading back to base.

Hopefully, since Battle of Bodenplatte got more detailed gun crew models and the pilot models are being remade, we will get improved ground crews one day.

I think that is just historical accuracy. You know, the german well-known inability to tan well.

When I repaired tanks in the army I also walked like a zombie. Very "fun" job.

So in my opinion its very realistic.

This is the same effect you get when I take my shirt off at the beach.

Don't get too excited, I'm just a ginger dude, not a beach hottie. Unless your tastes run to pasty white dudes, YMMV.
