Bad -Friendly- AI

The enemy AI is generally pretty decent, besides some particulary bad individual pilots. It flies its plane to it's full potential, doesn't do stupid maneuvers, is quite accurate.

On the other hand, my AI wingmen are terrible. They can't stay behind their target, won't hesitate to enter a turn fight with much more maneuverable enemies, will dump all their ammunition all over the place but anywhere near the target...

I don't know if I'm giving them bad orders, I'm flying with the worst pilots of my squadron or what, but they are only good as distractions for the enemy.

If you wanna see bad AI, start an Me262 career and watch your wingmen go. Hopelessly atrocious. I need to record some tracks.

Been there. Done that. First time, wingmen turned to meet me while I was circling the airfield waiting for them and flew into trees. Surviving wingmen entered a turning fight against 47s at low altitude.
Next mission wingmen didn't crash on takeoff. They still entered a turning fight with Tempests.

They dont even jettison their bombs if intercepted by enemy fighters. They, most of the time, dont even engage enemies, they fly straight and let tempests eat them alive with 20mm shells. I myself have around 250 air kills but I dont recall any of my wingmen even scoring ONE single kill. 90% of the time, I'm the lone survivor of a flight of 4.
