Lately WMR has been killing my game.  It seems that WMD wants to do something that is at odds with just sitting in a chair and playing GB.  Not sure exactly what might be happening.

This is fairly recent.  Everything used to run without issues.  Any other Reverb users seeing the same thing?

Shutdown.  The game dies.

I don't know wether it's the reverb or other vr glasses have the same .... But sometimes - too often I think - suddenly the game and the connection with my pedals are stopping ...

Like frezzing ...

I'm still in game / I can look around / no control my cockpit / I'm puched a little bit out left in my plane - and the plane is circling down to ground course I have no control , and I have to restart the game ( Mp - FC )

This is getting really bad.  It seems to happen frequently when everything is started.  If I can get in a groove everything works for awhile.  Just played a mission.  Quit a bit of time into it.  Got 1 and was finish a second.  WMR resets and game dies.  I go ahead and continue to the next mission.  This time I try starting Steam VR in advance.  Game dies in the main menu.

Might have found it.  Fingers crossed but one mission went well (I was wounded, so not entirely well, but at least WMD didn't kill the game)

Open the hamburger menu on WMR

Click Settings (Settings might be under "See more ..." - it is for me )

A Settings window will pop up

Click Headset Display on the left side of the settings window

Scroll to the bottom and find "Input Switching"

Set it to manual

Mine was automatic and - speculating here - for some reason WMR decided to change inputs.  Hoping that the switch to manual takes the decision making out of WMR's hands.

It worked for one mission.  If it fails again I will post here, otherwise that is the solution.

Still dying.  Seems a bit different after the changes.  Now I get into the mission and it folds up.  The game goes black in the VR headset.  On the display I can see the last frame frozen for a bit and then that shuts down too.

Not sure what to do.  Reinstall WMR?

I would try an uninstall of both - Steam VR and WMR.

I'm afraid this this could be a known cable issue of reverb. Mine died like this a year ago. HP sent replacement next day, though...

Yes, when my Reverb cable went in August I got a similar black screen in the headset.  At first, it would be brief and come back, but after a few days it did the complete shutdown.  HP honored the warranty with a replacement, but they had no stock at that point and it took 6 weeks (with some confusion along the way) while it appeared they were awaiting a new shipment.  If it seems like it is the cable, I can PM you with the email address for the HP rep that seemed to finally figure it all out for me.  Good Luck!

If it really is the infamous cable issue, you could try to fix the cable in the position, where the headset works, and the part between the headset and the clip where you connect the cable doesn't move. This way it could last till the replacement comes.

Like this (that prolonged the life of my unit by several days):

I saw a youtube video where a guy had worked out that the built-in speakers can spike their power requirement with certain sounds (heavy bass I think it was) that takes too much power and crashes the visual part of the system. He recommended no more than 85% volume.

It's in the morning my power level is over 9000 right now, and I'm waiting for something at the moment.

This is what we Germans call "Elan". Wait till I drink coffee.
