Excellent. Keep the tempo. One small update every two weeks. I love it. ?

Can't keep up with this turnaround, impressive work!

Thank you team BOX.  Will it be every two weeks from now until??? ;).   BTW every two weeks would be good, but I for one am not going to hold breath. maybe 10 seconds.

After installing this patch the game crashes pretty often (never in-flight). It has never crashed before. Any suggestion?

Please, if there is a CTD again, write here.

This does support my theory that 'two weeks' represents whatever the quata of time happens to be until the next update... it is rare for it to be smaller than two weeks though... always nice to see something new under the sun ?

Dear Developers , PLEASE  give us   the option to turn off those highly annoying , highly repetitive  pilot voices . Drives me batty !  Or at least  have more than the same sentence  over and over ad nauseum  ! Maybe they call also  call us out if we  shoot on our own pilots .  Thankyou Great  sim in all other regards .

On another note - In your store , it says G6 , but it doesn't say Late G6 ,  so  which is the one in store ? I already have the normal G6 .

Just turn off the radio. We gave you that option like a year ago.

After reviewing the G6 Late's stats in the game, and comparing them to the G14, I have to say...

I want the Late now. It's lighter than the 14, only very slightly slower, and the turn rate is barely worse than the plain G6's (0.2 seconds added to turn time on the deck). And needless to say,  it turns better than the G14 and K at any altitude.

This might be the Goldilocks 109 for people obsessed with minor stat differences. Like myself.

It also has a better climb rate than G-14.

Combat debut: early 1944

Operation features:
- Airplane has a wide automatization of the engine systems, in fact, to control speed it is only necessary to use the throttle lever. There is no need to manually set engine revolutions and mixture or supercharger gear in normal flight.
- MW-50 water-methanol mixture injection system that prevents the engine detonation in the emergency power mode (modification). It engages automatically when the throttle is set to maximum, there is enough mixture for 25-30 minutes. However, the engine can work up to 10 minutes at this mode, wait for another 10 minutes at the combat mode before engaging the emergency mode again. Attention: running the engine at the emergency mode without the water-methanol mixture or at altitudes higher than 6 km is forbidden! A pilot can check the system using the injection pressure indicator on the left: its normal pressure is 0.6...0.7 atm, stop using it if the pressure is lower than 0.4 atm and switch the engine to combat mode.
- In addition to full-automatic mode there is a special manual control mode for the radiator shutters, which can be used in specific situations.
- To reduce swinging during taxiing due to prop-wash the propeller pitch control should be switched to manual mode and pitch should be reduced to minimum.
- Airplane has no flight-control trimmers. Airplane is equipped with bendable trim tabs that can be set pre-flight by ground personnel.
- Airplane has a manually controlled horizontal stabilizer. It should be set to +1° before takeoff and to -4°...-5° before landing. Also, it may be used to trim the flight stick during the flight. In a deep dive the stabilizer should be set so that the pilot must push the flight stick forward to maintain the dive angle.
- Airplane has automatic wing slats. They deploy when the high angle of attack increases which makes pre-stall softer.
- Airplane has a manual mechanical system for retracting the landing flaps, for this reason it is necessary to extend landing flaps well before final approach. Markers on the left-wing flap indicate how far the flaps are extended. The flaps can be extended to any angle up to 40°.
- Airplane has a manual tail wheel lock. Wheel should be locked when taxiing straight for a long distance and before takeoff and landing.
- Airplane has independent left and right hydraulic wheel brake controls. To apply either brake push the upper part of the rudder pedal.
- Airplane has a fuel gauge which shows total fuel remaining. Also, it has an emergency fuel warning light (80 liters).
- The design of the cockpit canopy does not allow it to be opened during flight. The canopy should be closed before takeoff to prevent damage. The canopy has an emergency release system for bailouts.
- The control system for the bomb rack only allows to drop bombs one by one.
- The gunsight has a sliding sun-filter.

Now it's official. The new 109.

BTW, does anyone know if there is an up-to-date listing posted somewhere - identifying ALL the Il-2 GB aircraft that *have already* received the 4K skin treatment (or conversely, those that still haven't yet)?

I just happened to take this screen minutes ago, in case I wanted to compare stats later.

Because, you know, I'm a weirdo. About stats. Just stats. Totally normal otherwise.

Someone was building speed charts from data within the game. Anyone know where to find this data inside the actual software?

This makes me happy in the pants.

Getting the Bf109G-6 Late is kind of a bittersweet moment.  It's the last Bf109 we'll get, and.... it's the last Bf109 we'll get.

I won’t be able to get home to fly this for a week, what are the provided skins?

In the store it is the normal G6. G6 Late (the one just released) is for Battle of Normandy. You'll have to buy Normandy to fly it.

How do you know? Iirc there are still more 109s that they could make. G10 for instance.

Erich Hartmann, Heinrich Ehrler, Wilhelm Schilling, off the top of my head. Some of the others don't list a pilot name.

Or perhaps E-1, E-3, E-4?  That’s at least five good options still on the table.

So sorry if this has been done before, but I'm still kinda hazy on the how the g6 late fits into our chronology for 109's.

Is it G6 - G14 - G6 Late?  Or something different?

(Really enjoying the G6 Late anyway, it's a blast!)

Yeah just like it was 1943,1945,1944 ?

But on a serious note: they began fitting mw50 and stuff from early 1944 on forward, so i guess the g14 is sort of a standardization from all the different g6 variants (old/new tail, erla/no erla canopy etc etc)

G-6: 1943 model

G-6 Late: early to mid-1944 model

G-14: summer 1944 model, which is / was an attempt at standardizing all the numerous variations of the G-6. Essentially, a G-14 is a refined, unified late-production G-6 Late model (as much as something in the last year of the war in Germany can be called unified and standardized, since you ended up with G-14s that had both the tall and short tail unit, etc.).

Fun fact! The G-10 came after the G-14 was introduced. Isn't keeping track of late-war 109 models fun? ?

OK  Is there a way that when radio is turned down (I didn't find an "Off" switch for planes) the text messages disappear as well without either turning off Technochat or the entire HUD?  If I'm not wanting to listen to the radio I don't want my screen cluttered with the text messages associated with them.

Well not exactly but there is this list for the updated templates to 4k. Normally all 4k templates that we have currently are also 4k skins so all the remaining 2k templates there mean also 2k skins left to make. I hope it helps you :)

Well, I’m completely disappointed with the Bf 109 G-6 Late, apart from the new 4K skins and textures from the landing gear bay, it’s an authentic copy paste (very little effort), the interior with the same old, worn and scratched textures as the 2013 Bf 109 G-2, the same low polygon count inside and outside (compared to new planes).

...and without the G-6/AS modification!

This is not a standard for a 2020 plane, ex: vs. P-47D-22 (the first Battle of Normandy aircraft).

About the rest of the 4.503 patch, good improvements, thanks.

100% agree. Usually Luftwaffe aircrafts are just only a copy and paste of the original models and cockpits. I understand the policy to reduce resoucers and time (money), but 109 and 190 cockpits need absolutely a restyling to the Dora standard at least.
